A lifelong outdoors person, Mark enjoys fishing, boat building and mountaineering.

He lives with his very supportive and adventurous wife, Amy on a hardscrabble farm in Winneshiek County, Iowa.

They grow vegetables, trees and prairie grasses, husband a few cows for pastoral beauty, enjoy the companionship of a faithful dog, and have two grown sons.
